Sislo Signs Entry Level Contract With New Jersey

New Hampshire men’s hockey captain Mike Sislo has signed a two-year entry-level contract with the NHL's New Jersey Devils.

Sislo, of Superior, is expected play with the club’s American Hockey League affiliate Albany Devils for the remainder of the season.

Sislo capped his Wildcat career with 15 goals and 33 assists for 48 points in 39 games during the 2010-11 season. He led the team in assists, ranked second in goals, points, power-play goals (4) and game-winning goals (4). With those numbers, Sislo ranked No. 22 in the nation in points per game and 10th in assists per game. He led Hockey East in assists and also ranked fifth in the league in points as well as 11th in goals.

In 154 career games, Sislo had 51 goals and 65 assists for 116 points. He is one of just 46 players in New Hampshire men’s hockey history to record more than 50 goals and 50 assists.

Sislo and the Wildcats finished the season 22-11-6 and qualified for the NCAA tournament for the 10th consecutive season. The Wildcats advanced to the NCAA Regional final for the third-straight season, becoming the only team in the nation with wins in each of the past three years.
